WELCOME TO L-A-X

The plane has finally arrived! I can’t believe this day has come. I’ve dreamt of making a whole album for years. I was worried that it wasn’t going to happen. I always thought I’d have to be signed to a big machine to make this happen. I used to wait and think that a major label would discover me, groom me and take my career into the stratosphere. You know like the Disney kids and Jive Records artists lol. Funny thing is years ago I auditioned for Jive Records (only to be offered a spot on waiting list shelf.)

Enter the new music landscape reality. There is no “big machine” rescuing my career. I’m too grown to be a Disney kid. These days the indie artist must wear multiple hats. I am willing to be the artist, the label, the promoter and A&R. I need to be if I want to build a fan base and gain visibility and opportunities. I have to split the creative and the business sides of my brain. It’s hard work. Not easy.

But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I get to have full creative control and make decisions that feel right for me. And because of consistency, I’m now building a team who are helping me see my vision through to the next level! Most of all I’m having fun!

LAX feels right for me!
It’s 90s influenced R&B & Pop vibes are authentic to me and I feel strongly that there are others who will understand and connect.
And why the name LAX?!
This album was mainly recorded in Los Angeles. Every time I made the flight from NYC to LAX, I would be inspired creatively. Songs would drop in as soon as the plane would touch down in Cali. Each and every time. My main collaborator, Jonny On The Rocks who I originally met in NYC, was my first choice to produce my songs. Over a two year period we worked on over 50 songs. We narrowed that 50 to the 14 you hear now.

Thank you for being on the journey with me!
I hope you enjoy the songs on my album. I hope that you enjoy the flight!
